Who’s who
Good hospitality is of course very much about the people delivering it, so here’s a little background on each of us.
We have a small principal team that work day to day on villa and boutique management and then a wider network of friends and partners that we call on whenever needed.

Max moved to Sri Lanka from the UK in 2013. He oversaw the renovation and development of two boutique hotels near Kandy before focusing on management for those properties and others across the island.
A Covid-led pause saw him lean back into his London-based property and marketing experience with the formation of The New Sri Lankan House.
Max has primary responsibility for "back-office" systems, finance and accounts, and marketing as required.

Our primary F&B consultant is so in demand amongst boutique hoteliers and would-be restauranteurs that we’re not naming her here for fear of causing upset.
Half English and half Sri Lankan she learned her trade with Michelin-starred chefs in London before launching her own much-acclaimed restaurant here. She brings a passion for local food and a unique understanding of how to get the best out of kitchen teams maybe not so familiar with non-Sri Lankan flavours and styles.
